Allonby is a small village situated between Maryport and Silloth on the Solway Coast, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The views across the Solway to Scotland are amazing, and should be seen to be believed.
It can be described as a typical seaside village. It is well know for it's surfing and windsurfing, it's beautiful sand & shingle beach, and of course Twentyman's Ice Cream, which is a must when in Allonby!
You will find many activities to suit all ages. The Spring Lea Leisure Centre has facilities for all the family and the beaches and surrounding area provide many opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. For walkers, both the smuggler's route and the Cumbrian Coastal Way pass through Allonby.
It has easy access to the city of Carlisle and with the Lake District National Park just a short drive away, you couldn't ask for a more perfect holiday destination.

The Cumbrian Coastal Way passes through the village, and walkers can enjoy many miles of green sea-banks.
